First and foremost, this RPG is for fun and creativity.  If that's not what you're here for then I'd say you'd be happier leaving the site now than you'll be if you keep reading.

With that out of the way!

Genre:  Original fantasy with heavy medieval themes

Format:  E-mail, Board, Chat, etc...

I'm anticipating main stories being bounced back and forth mostly by e-mail, though that may change to being on the main board in the future.  It'll depending on how it works for everyone.  Side stories or stories that are cooked up mostly for character development can be written in whatever format the writers would like (e-mail, board or even chat).

Writing:  We're building a world and a story so let's write like we are.  Third person, complete paragraphs and sentences as well as real punctuation and proper grammar are the norm. Lolspeak is FORBIDDEN, srsly.  Dialogue is love and descriptive detail is beautiful (always!) but there's no room for flowery passages here.

Story Planning:  Main story plots will be fleshed out on the boards beforehand by the cast chosen to participate.  Only one main story will be active at any one time and will be moderated by the GM (whether she does or doesn't have any characters writing in it).  Side story plots are much more relaxed and definitely shorter.  They can be cooked up by one or more players and proposed to the GM.  Once approved (which will be easy on side stories, trust me) they can be started whenever and completed whenever (a year is pushing it though).

Response Time:  I don't want the stories to die so if you let a post sit in your inbox for days without explanation, you'll be hearing from yours truly.  Real life, definitely more important, but shooting off a quick post about not being able to write back for (x) reason?  Polite and greatly appreciated.

Rating:  PG-13 to R.  Heavy violence and light adult situations (as in if you want your characters to get it on then please either fade to black or save it for a side story).  Wars, magical injuries, lots of blood loss, bad words.  Expect all these fun things on a screen near you if you join.

Characters:  I'm not putting a limit because I'm a strong advocate of THE MORE THE MERRIER.  We want personalities from all corners of your brain, not just the prettiest ones.  And please don't expect your character to live through everything (unless they're a Sceadu, then it's kind of hard to kill someone that's half-dead already).

NPC:  The GM plays all NPC's unless you get permission to use them.

Puppet Master Mode:  Should always be in the OFF position.  You control your own character.  The end.

We're all here to have fun and let our brains take a break from reality, but remember to respect your fellow players as well as their characters and ideas.  I am a patient woman, but I do know how to bring the pain.
